What is Dive Together?
Is it free to join?
Yes — Dive Together is free. Just sign in with Google to get started.
How do I create a profile?
Sign in with Google, then follow the short onboarding to set your location, skills and certifications. Your profile goes live in the directory and on the map right away — and you can edit it any time from your profile page.
How do I claim my account?
Some profiles were created from publicly available information before their owner joined — so your profile may already exist. To take it over, sign in with Google, find yourself in the directory, and open your profile page — you’ll see a prompt to claim it. Once claimed, the profile is yours to edit. If you can’t find your profile, just create a new one.
We’re a group of divers who run a school. How can we collectively manage our school account?
A school listing is claimed and managed by a single owner account: one person on your team signs in, claims the listing from its page, and — once an admin approves the claim — can edit all of its details (address, agencies taught, contact info, logo and more).
There isn’t shared multi-user access to a single listing yet, so we’d suggest claiming it with an account the team can access together, or designating one person to keep it up to date. If you’d like a hand setting this up, get in touch and we’ll help.
What’s the best way to get in touch with another diver?
The best way to reach another freediver is through the links on their profile — most divers share an Instagram and/or a website, so follow those to say hello. Some accounts also list a phone number, which is often the number of their business or school.
For privacy, a diver’s email address and street address are never shown publicly, so the Instagram and website links are usually your starting point.
What information about me is shown publicly?
Your name, location (shown at city level), skills, self-reported certifications, and any Instagram or website links you add. Your email and street address are never public, and map pins are placed at city level only — never at your exact address.
How do I edit my profile?
Sign in and head to your profile page, where you can update every field — your details and links, photo, and certifications.
My school isn’t listed. How do I add it?
We seeded the directory with hundreds of schools, but plenty are still missing. If yours isn’t there, get in touch or reach us on Instagram and we’ll add it so you can claim it.
How do I deactivate or delete my profile?
On your profile page you’ll find a danger zone where you can temporarily deactivate (and later reactivate) your profile, or permanently delete it with a typed confirmation.
